The ASEAN Link in Belt and Road Initiative

With the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), a development strategy that focuses on connectivity and cooperation, businesses are presented with a huge array of opportunities, challenges and complexities.

At UOB Knowledge Webinar – The ASEAN Link in Belt and Road Initiative, specialists from UOB and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) will present the key findings of the UOB-HKUST Research on the BRI in Southeast Asia. The research aims to provide insights into the political, institutional, and environmental factors that affect the success of the BRI projects in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar and the Philippines and the potential for foreign direct investment opportunities. A timely update on COVID-19’s impact on the respective countries as well as their BRI participation is also included.
